Storrington Dramatic Society

We are an amateur dramatic society based at the foot of the South Downs in Storrington, West Sussex.  We generally put on three shows a year, in March, June and a December pantomime – A mix of comedy, farce, crime thriller, Whodunnit, and well-known straight plays.  Our members are a range of ages, from early teens to “twilight teens” and take on a whole kaboodle of roles – on stage and off stage!

4th – 7th December…

Pinocchio

Geppetto, an old toy maker, always longed for a son of his own. One starry night, with a little help from the Blue Fairy and a cheeky little cricket, his wish was finally granted and his latest creation, a puppet called Pinocchio, came to life! But the magical puppet who can move talk and dance with no strings catches the eye of the evil showman Stromboli who will stop at nothing to get his hands on the enchanted toy.

With the help of Dame Mamma Mia and her hapless son Lampwick from the local pizzeria, will Pinocchio learn in time what it takes to be a ‘real boy’?

About Us

Who are Storrington Dramatic Society?

Firstly a warm welcome to new and returning guests, we’re happy to see you and glad you came!

Storrington Dramatic Society are a group of people who like to entertain, create and share their love of the stage (and backstage) with you, the audience. We put on a number of productions throughout the year, and a pantomime at Christmas.

Come, look round our website – if you spot something you like, fancy joining us on stage, off stage, front of house or in the band please get in touch – you’ll find all our details in the contact us section.

As Shakespeare once wrote, “All the worlds a stage” – and if it wasn’t for you the audience, it’d be a lonely one.

Where do you meet?

When we have a show in the making we meet every Tuesday and Thursday between 7.45pm and 10pm at Sullington Parish Hall, Storrington, West Sussex RH20 3PP.  If you’re interested in getting involved in any way – front or back stage, then we’d love to see you for a cuppa!
